Give them toys that encourage movement and exploration, like ride-on toys, balls, and push toys. They're also developing their fine motor skills, so puzzles, stacking toys, and shape sorters are great choices. They love to copy what adults are doing, so toy phones and kitchen utensils are sure to be a hit. Don't forget to encourage their independence and let them make choices on their own.
